This week we went to Atahura marae. We had to practice the powhiri which is the welcoming on to the Marae. After we were welcomed onto the Marae we had to take our shoes off before entering the wharenui. My favourite part was presenting my mihi off by heart. l learnt a fact about the chief and how he won his last battle.
